Oh Happy Day
So the kids had dentist appts with Dr. Pike yesterday and on the way back to the Eastside, the girl needed to pee. So we stopped at the GW on Grand to use the facilities. And well it was almost noon and I really didn't want to head all the way to Gresham and then turn around and go pick up E.
Anyways back to the story. I took Mad to the bathroom and then of course they want to "just look" at the toys. So I said okay, I've got time to kill, right?! Well on the way to the toy section is the craft section. And I see bags of yarn. The knitter I am, has to look to see what kind of yarn. Oh it's WOOL!!! and the next one, WOOL! and it goes on. There are 11 bags of almost all wool yarn. And the bags were priced at only $3.99! One bag was priced at $2.99. So for a little over $50 here's what I got:
a pirate flag (the kids said we needed a new one, cause the other one was starting to tear.)
wizard tattoos. Okay I couldn't deny wizard tattoos.
Okay on to the yarn:
Patons Classic Wool in brown, forest green, 3 sk denim marl, tree bark mix, and black
Nature Spun 3 sk roasted coffee

Austermann Scarlet #10
Unknowns:
5 tapes
2 fuzzy acrylic
1 mohair-ish,
2 lion brand chenille
5 hvy worsted weight possibly wool
1 large undyed sport weight skein.
and 5 or so smaller balls of worsted weight yarn, looks to be patons classic wool and then possibly 2 sock yarns.
If I added right this early in the morning, that's over 90 sk of yarn for $50!!!
E wanted to know when I plan on using it all.

OH! Oh Oh!!!!!! I stop at thrift stores all the time to look at yarn and I never see anything other than Caron or Red Heart. Oh, I'm so jealous! (I live in P-town also, in NE.)

Oh. My. God. That is amazing! What a great find! Usually all I find is weird acrylics or fur yarn or something. Amazing! Do you have a ton of projects already running through your head??

Followed your link from MDC. Those are awesome yarn finds for a thrift store. Please, please, please though, check them all for moths! That's what we've been battling at my house, and I've often seen moths/larvae in the yarn at my thrift store. I'm worried I brought the moths in on thrift store clothing or something!
